CLIENT

Our client is a Law firm specialised in arbitrage and covering European legal aspects. As a Dynamic Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing business development activities in Singapore and the ASPAC region, as well as supporting firmwide initiatives from headquarters. You will report to the Managing Director and collaborate closely with the BD Team in Europe.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Responsibilities:

·       Proactively research and review clients, competitors, and industry market trends to ensure solicitors have the best available market intelligence to support Business Development activities.

·       Conduct market research and identify prospects/key contacts in Singapore and the ASPAC region.

·       Regularly monitor Business Development activities results and provide continuous updates on progress against the plan.

·       Execute various Business Development related requests from solicitors.

·       Provide full support to solicitors in preparing materials for pitches or client/prospect meetings, including researching relevant mandates, drafting and formatting presentations, and gathering additional information.

·       Collaborate with the BD Team in Switzerland to develop and maintain a pitch and proposal repository, including information on CVs, firm/solicitor credentials, and deal information.

·       Assist the BD Team in Europe HQ with maintaining the referral/correspondents/clients’ database.

·       Support firmwide Business Development projects, processes, and initiatives such as CRM, BD-related tools, strategy, and guidelines.

·       Organise client events and assist with participation in various external events, conferences, and trade shows.

·       Maintain an international peer network in the context of Business Development and Partner relationships.

·       Research potential sponsorship opportunities for the firm, practice groups, and solicitors in the ASPAC region, and arrange for sponsorship execution.

·       Provide regular updates to solicitors on requested Business Development related matters.

IDEAL TALENT 

Key Skills and Experience Required:

·       Legal education and/or background in marketing and/or sales.

·       Experience in Sales or Business Development at a regional level, preferably in the legal industry, including implementing and/or managing a CRM solution.

·       Knowledge of the legal market in Singapore and the ASPAC region.

·       Experience in organising client events.

·       Ability to work in a fast-paced and client-facing role.

·       Strong prioritisation and multitasking skills.

·       Proven project management skills.

·       Resilient, service-oriented, and takes ownership of work.

·       Reliable team player with the ability to build trust and respect among colleagues.

·       Curious, open-minded, proactive, and a strong communicator with the ability to influence.

·       Comfortable working with colleagues located remotely.

·       Native-level English proficiency.

·       Strong IT skills, with very good knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
