Manager / Director – Business Technology Advisory (SEA)

Our Client

Our client is a globally recognised leader in consulting, technology services and business transformation. With over 420,000 employees worldwide and a presence across more than 50 countries, they partner with leading organisations to help shape strategy, accelerate digital transformation and unlock sustainable business value.

Their Singapore Business Technology practice is a well-established and growing team of approximately 20 consultants, delivering high-impact advisory engagements across both the public and private sectors. As demand continues to grow, they are looking to appoint an experienced Manager or Director who combines strong consulting expertise with a genuine passion for developing people.

The Opportunity

This is more than a client delivery role.

You will become part of an established Business Technology Advisory practice where the focus is on helping organisations define technology strategy, improve governance and successfully deliver large-scale transformation initiatives.

The team already enjoys a strong portfolio of ongoing client engagements, meaning this position places greater emphasis on nurturing existing client relationships, delivering exceptional advisory services and developing the next generation of consultants, rather than aggressive new business hunting.

The successful candidate will be a recognised role model—someone who leads by example, enjoys remaining hands-on with clients, and takes pride in coaching and mentoring consultants throughout their careers.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and Develop People

• Coach, mentor and develop a team of Business Technology consultants, helping them strengthen both their consulting capabilities and leadership potential.
• Lead by example through active involvement in client engagements and project delivery.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture focused on continuous learning and professional development.
• Support capability building across the wider Business Technology practice.

Advise Senior Business and Technology Leaders

• Partner with CIOs, CTOs and senior executives to shape technology strategies that support long-term business objectives.
• Provide trusted advisory services covering IT Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, Technology Governance and IT Operating Models.
• Help clients define transformation roadmaps and modern technology capabilities that improve business performance.
• Facilitate executive discussions and build long-term trusted client relationships.

Deliver Strategic Transformation

Lead advisory engagements across areas including:

• Technology Strategy
• Enterprise Architecture
• IT Operating Models
• Digital Transformation
• Technology Governance
• Transformation Management Office (Control Tower)
• Business Technology Advisory
• Cloud Strategy and Transformation
• Enterprise Modernisation
• Technology Roadmaps
• AI Strategy and Adoption
• Agentic AI planning, governance and business use cases

Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure engagements deliver measurable business outcomes while maintaining the highest consulting standards.

Grow Existing Client Relationships

Rather than focusing primarily on new logo acquisition, you will help expand existing client partnerships by identifying opportunities to deliver additional value through trusted advisory services, successful project delivery and long-term strategic relationships.

About You

You are an experienced consulting professional who enjoys solving complex business challenges while helping others succeed.

You are equally comfortable presenting to executive stakeholders, facilitating strategy workshops or coaching junior consultants through challenging client engagements.

You are recognised as someone who leads through influence, collaboration and practical delivery rather than hierarchy.

You will bring:

• 10–15 years' consulting experience within a recognised consulting organisation.
• Strong experience advising CIOs, CTOs and executive leadership teams.
• Expertise across Technology Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, IT Strategy and Digital Transformation.
• Experience designing Technology Operating Models and Governance frameworks.
• A strong understanding of AI strategy, emerging technologies and the practical application of Agentic AI within enterprise environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• A passion for developing people and building high-performing consulting teams.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary consulting engagements across multiple industries.

Experience within the Singapore Public Sector and Financial Services industry is highly desirable. Exposure to Consumer Products & Retail or Life Sciences would be advantageous.

Due to the nature of several government-related engagements, Singapore Citizens are preferred. Singapore Permanent Residents will also be considered, while Employment Pass holders may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
