Job Responsibilities

As a Strategic Business Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's strategic direction and ensuring the successful execution of key initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the leadership team to define, develop, and execute corporate strategies and objectives aligned with overall business goals.
  • Overseeing projects, driving timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Fostering cross-functional collaboration and ensuring effective communication and coordination between departments.
  • Analyzing financial data, budgets, and forecasts to provide actionable insights that drive informed decision-making.
  • Monitoring financial performance and identifying opportunities for cost optimisation and revenue growth.
  • Implementing KPIs and metrics to measure and evaluate business performance, and developing reports and dashboards to track progress.
  • Identifying potential risks and opportunities in the business environment and developing strategies to mitigate risks and capitalise on opportunities.
  • Conducting primary research on market benchmarks and industry trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Communicating financial and strategic insights effectively to senior management and key stakeholders, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Driving execution in a fast-paced and dynamic growth environment.

Ideal Talent

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related field.
  • Strong business acumen with proven experience in strategic planning, financial analysis, and business management.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in project management, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams across multiple geographies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), statistical analysis, and financial modelling.
  • A results-driven mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel regionally as required.

Day-to-Day

In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with senior leadership to align strategies with business objectives.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to optimise financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track the progress of strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless communication and execution of business plans.
  • Stay updated on market trends and industry benchmarks to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
