Our client is a high-growth, venture-backed startup in the Web3 FMCG space, revolutionizing retail in emerging markets by transforming untracked, offline transactions into actionable insights through the integration of AI and blockchain technologies. With a bold vision and rapid scaling trajectory, the company is now looking for a strategic finance leader to join the executive team and help drive its next phase of capital growth and operational maturity.

 

Mission

The mission for the incoming Fundraising  Partner / CFO is to lead capital-raising initiatives and align funding strategy with aggressive growth objectives. As a key partner to the CEO and Board, the CFO will serve as the financial face of the company to external investors, while internally developing a best-in-class finance function ready to scale.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading equity and/or debt fundraising from institutional investors, VCs, family offices, and strategic partners
  • Managing investor relations, pitch decks, data rooms, and negotiations from pre-seed through Series C+ and beyond
  • Overseeing financial modeling, budgeting, FP&A, and capital allocation
  • Advising the CEO and executive team on financial implications of strategic decisions
  • Supporting future readiness for M&A, secondary transactions, or IPO

 

Ideal Talent

We’re seeking a high-impact finance leader with a proven track record in startup capital raising and early-stage financial management. This individual thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments, and combines tactical financial execution with strategic vision.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • 7–10+ years of experience in finance leadership, with at least 3–5 years in high-growth startups
  • Deep experience leading successful fundraising rounds (Seed to Series C or later), ideally in the technology space
  • A strong network of venture capital and private equity contacts
  • Comfort being both hands-on and strategic (e.g., advising the board on capital structure)
  • Excellent financial modeling, analytical, and communication skills
  • Executive presence and the ability to build credibility with investors, partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Bonus: Experience in a startup that has exited via M&A or IPO
