OUR CLIENT
Reporting to the Head of APAC, we seek an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead cutting-edge LiDAR scanning projects. As a key member of our client team for APAC, you will drive the successful execution of LiDAR-based initiatives, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
The candidate will manage mobile high-resolution imaging and LIDAR projects, either directly or alongside our partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a senior project manager, you have 2 main responsibilities:
Business Development Support:
Prospect to Deal Closure: The first part of the role begins when a commercial lead transitions into a qualified prospect. At this point, our Business Developers (BDs) engage in project-specific discussions with the client regarding implementing our client solution.
BD Collaboration: As the PM, you will support the BDs throughout this phase. Your responsibilities include reviewing and countersigning all formal proposals issued during negotiations.
Deal Closure: You will remain actively involved until the deal is closed.
Project Execution and Delivery:
Post-Deal Closure: Once the deal is secured, the project enters the execution phase. As the PM, you assume full responsibility for managing project delivery.
Quality, Timeframe, and Budget: You will ensure that the project adheres to quality standards, stays within the specified timeframe, and remains within budget.
Collaboration with Production Team: You’ll work closely with the production team, maintaining harmony and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
LiDAR Scanning Team Management: At this stage, you will manage the LiDAR scanning team, which includes drivers, navigators, and GIS operators. Their primary task is to plan and collect urban forest data using LiDAR technology.
Mandatory Experience: Previous experience with LiDAR data collection is essential.
Project Handover: Upon completing the delivery phase, you will transfer the project to the client. This involves training them on a web-based platform where all relevant information has been uploaded and tested.

This regional role will require travel in the APAC region.
IDEAL TALENT
The Incumbent is expected to have a range of competencies and experience to transform analytical workflows using the power of light:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geospatial Sciences, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of project management experience, focusing on LiDAR technology, scanning-related projects
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in LiDAR data processing software (e.g., TerraScan, LAStools), GIS tools, and point cloud analysis.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage complex projects, and drive results.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications: PMP certification preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex field projects, including field operations and coordinate with cross-functional teams
- Strong customer focus and ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
- Multicultural working experience: Experience communicating with diverse audiences and cross-functional teams.
- Experience with 3D modelling software (or similar) is an added advantage.
