OUR CLIENT
Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Senior FP&A and Business Partner plays a critical role in shaping the financial future of our client. He/She will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging financial expertise to provide actionable insights, forecasts, and recommendations that drive informed decision-making at the executive level. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned financial professional to impact a dynamic and growing company significantly.
RESPONSIBILITIES
FINANCIAL PLANNING AND BUDGETING:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop and manage the company's financial plans.
- Create and maintain detailed financial models to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Monitor budget variances, identify trends, and provide recommendations for course correction as needed.
FINANCIAL ANALYSIS:
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including but not limited to revenue and expense analysis, profitability analysis, and scenario planning.
- Provide insights on key financial metrics and performance indicators to guide strategic decision-making.
FORECASTING AND REPORTING:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Monitor and communicate performance against financial targets.
BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP:
- Collaborate with various departments, including Sales, Marketing, and Operations, to understand their financial needs and provide support in achieving their goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, offering data-driven insights and recommendations.
PROCESS IMPROVEMENT:
- Continuously evaluate and improve financial planning and analysis processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices and innovative tools to streamline reporting and analysis.
AD-HOC ANALYSIS: Respond to ad-hoc requests for financial analysis and special projects as needed.
IDEAL TALENT
The Incumbent is expected to have a range of competencies and experience, such as:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, with a track record of success in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis, and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills. Experience with financial software and SAP ERP systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
- Team player with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Highly organised and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
EDUCATION:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- MBA, CMA and/or CPA or other professional Certification highly desirable
EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years experience working in finance, preferably in multinational corporations.
- Medical device or Life Sciences industry experience, preferable
