Head of IT – APAC & Middle East

Location: Singapore

Our Client

Our client is a leading multi-country Facility Management organisation operating across the APAC and Middle East regions. With a strong commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth, they are seeking a visionary Head of IT to lead their regional technology strategy and drive transformative change.

Job Responsibilities

As the Head of IT for APAC & Middle East, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's technology landscape. Reporting directly to the Regional CEO, you will lead a team of approximately 40 IT professionals across Thailand, India, Indonesia, the Middle East, and Singapore. Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Regional Technology Strategy & Digital Transformation

  • Define and execute a multi-year technology strategy aligned with business priorities.
  • Drive digital transformation across operations, workforce management, finance, HR, and customer-facing services.
  • Introduce and scale AI, automation, IoT, and data-driven solutions tailored to Facility Management.
  • Oversee the modernisation of ERP, HRIS, CRM, CAFM/CMMS, and other relevant platforms.

2. IT Operating Model Redesign & Governance

  • Redesign the regional IT operating model for scalability, efficiency, and service quality.
  • Establish robust governance frameworks, including decision rights, architecture standards, vendor management, and cybersecurity.
  • Implement ITIL-based service management and a regional shared services model.

3. Infrastructure, Platforms & Enterprise Systems

  • Manage the regional cloud, network, infrastructure, and applications landscape.
  • Ensure systems are standardised, resilient, secure, and cost-optimised.
  • Strengthen interoperability and lifecycle management across platforms.

4. Cybersecurity, Risk & Compliance

  • Oversee cybersecurity strategy, posture, and incident readiness across the region.
  • Ensure compliance with regional regulations, global standards, and investor expectations.
  • Implement robust data protection, governance, and risk mitigation frameworks.

5. Financial & Portfolio Management

  • Lead annual planning cycles for IT investment budgets.
  • Optimise CAPEX/OPEX allocation and ensure financial transparency and ROI tracking.

6. Talent Leadership & Organisation Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse regional IT team across multiple countries.
  • Build a regional talent pipeline and drive upskilling programmes.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.

Ideal Talent

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader with the following qualifications:

  • 10+ years of senior IT leadership, with at least 5 years in a regional Head of IT or equivalent role.
  • Proven expertise in digital transformation, enterprise systems modernisation, and operating model redesign.
  • Strong technical knowledge across infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and data management.
  • Experience in Facility Management, Hospitality, or Services sectors is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in leading IT functions in decentralised, multi-country environments with lean resources.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills across C-level and operational teams.
  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; advanced certifications (CISSP, CISM, ITIL, TOGAF, PMP) are advantageous.

  • Collaborate with regional and country leadership to align technology initiatives with business goals.
  • Oversee the implementation of cutting-edge digital solutions to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and standardisation of enterprise systems.
  • Monitor and enhance cybersecurity measures to safeguard organisational assets.
  • Drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the IT function.
