Their cutting-edge semiconductor technology is applied across diverse industries, including data centres, fibre optics, and Lidar, driving a new era of efficiency and sustainability.
They are currently looking for a Supply Chain Director based in Thailand (Ideally Nonthaburi or Chonburi) and reporting directly to the VP Quality and Operations.
Job Responsibilities
As the Supply Chain Director, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimising the supply chain operations to support the production of thermoelectric modules. Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing day-to-day operations with contract manufacturers in Thailand, ensuring alignment on finished goods and raw materials.
- Identifying and mitigating supply chain risks.
- Managing engineering change orders (ECO) and their impact on inventory and deliveries.
- Monitoring work-in-progress (WIP) and inventory to meet customer delivery commitments.
- Supporting Southeast Asia suppliers, expediting critical deliveries, and overseeing supplier improvement projects.
- Leading sourcing activities for thermal components and negotiating with Asia-based suppliers.
- Issuing and managing supplier corrective action requests (SCARs).
- Driving cost-saving initiatives and facilitating quarterly business reviews with contract manufacturers and key suppliers.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement supply chain improvement initiatives.
- Supporting ISO initiatives through continuous improvement, risk-based thinking, and auditing.
Ideal Talent
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Solid understanding of the semiconductor processes.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in managing contract manufacturers, global sourcing, and supplier management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong results orientation, attention to detail, and process-driven mindset.
- Exceptional supplier relationship management and cross-functional communication skills.
- A hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, lean organisation.
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity.
- Experience in capacity and scalability strategy, cost structure and margin protection, and risk management.
Day-to-day
Your daily activities will include:
- Collaborating with contract manufacturers to ensure seamless operations and alignment on production goals.
- Monitoring and managing inventory levels, supply chain risks, and engineering change orders.
- Engaging with suppliers across Southeast Asia to expedite deliveries, negotiate terms, and oversee improvement projects.
- Leading cost-saving initiatives and ensuring accurate cost tracking for bills of materials (BOM).
- Supporting factory expansion projects and strategic initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency.
