OUR CLIENT
Our client is a crypto-native trading infrastructure team building the connective tissue between CeFi efficiency and DeFi innovation. Their platform powers market making, liquidity provisioning, and execution for token issuers, institutions, and Web3 builders. Operating across both centralized venues and on-chain ecosystems, they architect reliable, secure, and scalable trading systems that sit at the heart of the digital asset economy. The team is composed of engineers, quants, and DeFi natives who’ve spent years deep in the markets, protocols, and blockchain systems.
ROLE MISSION
They’re looking for a DeFi Engineer who would consider him/her selves as on-chain systems—someone who understands how protocols actually behave in actual usage, not just in documentation. In this role, you’ll design and shipout the core smart contracts, trading pipelines, and backend infra that power real-time DeFi execution across multiple chains. You’ll work hand-in-hand with traders and researchers to bring strategies from idea to trading floor, ensuring they’re secure, capital-efficient, and protocol-aware. This is a chance to shape the trading infrastructure that sits at the frontier of CeFi–DeFi convergence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain smart contracts and automation systems across EVM and non-EVM chains
- Architect backend services that connect off-chain engines with on-chain execution layers
- Work closely with traders to build, refine, and optimize DeFi strategies
- Integrate AMMs, RFQs, lending protocols, yield aggregators, and cross-chain systems
- Run simulations, perform exploit analysis, and ensure security across every deployment
- Stay plugged into emerging DeFi primitives, execution models, and infra upgrades
IDEAL BACKGROUND
- Experience in on-chain trading, market making, or quant systems
- Strong Solidity skills with deep EVM understanding (storage, calldata, opcodes, gas flows)
- Proficiency in Rust or TypeScript for off-chain analytics and service development
- Knowledge of blockchain infra: RPCs, relayers, sequencers, builders
- Solid grasp of security risks—reentrancy, flash-loan vectors, oracle issues, mempool dynamics
- Experience with gas optimization, transaction bundling, and trace/debug tooling
- Comfortable with Foundry, fuzz testing, mainnet forking, and simulation environments
NICE TO HAVE
- Familiarity with MEV, private relays, and execution protection
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native monitoring
- Understanding of cross-chain messaging, rollups, and L2 sequencing
