Our client is a newly launched, venture-backed B2B trading and fintech platform, supported by some of the world’s most prominent technology and innovation-focused investors. Operating at the intersection of deep-tech, finance, and global infrastructure, the company provides US derivatives market access to international brokers and wealth managers, with a particular emphasis on Asian end customers.
The company is scaling rapidly from formation through productisation. At this critical inflexion point, the founders are seeking a high-calibre Chief of Staff to serve as a strategic and operational force multiplier as they build and scale a globally impactful business.
ROLE MISSION
The Chief of Staff will serve as a strategic and operational force multiplier to the founding team. This is a foundational role for the firm, combining execution, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional coordination to drive key outcomes across product, fundraising, partnerships, and operations. You will play an instrumental role in shaping company priorities, managing stakeholder communications, and ensuring operational excellence across the board. A strong finance or analytical background, technical fluency, and exceptional organizational discipline are critical to success in this role.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic & Operational Support
Work closely with the founders to drive execution across high-priority initiatives.
Represent the leadership team in meetings, ensuring alignment and follow-through.
Prepare board materials, investor updates, and internal strategy documents.
2. Data-Driven Decision-Making
Analyse operational, product, and financial data using tools such as Python and SQL.
Build dashboards, models, and reports to inform key business and product choices.
Partner with engineering and product teams to track KPIs and customer behaviours.
3. Operational Backbone & Vendor Coordination
Oversee day-to-day operations, including compliance, financial workflows, and investor servicing.
Manage relationships with U.S.-based legal, tax, and infrastructure service providers.
Support fund/investment onboarding and transaction execution.
4. Executive Cadence & Milestone Tracking
Own leadership team rhythms including meeting agendas, progress updates, and risk surfacing.
Maintain milestone trackers across product, hiring, and capital efforts.
5. Cross-Functional Glue
Facilitate alignment across software, science, and commercial teams through structured check-ins.
Resolve blockers proactively and maintain execution momentum.
6. Stakeholder Communication & Relationship Management
Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Support investor diligence, strategic negotiations, and high-stakes communications.
IDEAL TALENT
- 5–8+ years in strategy, analytics, venture-backed startups, finance, or consulting roles.
- Proficiency in data analysis Python; experience with financial modeling is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data for diverse stakeholders. Familiarity with working across time zones.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, CA, or CFA a plus.
- Gritty, resourceful, highly organized, and comfortable with ambiguity.
- Passionate about entrepreneurship, emerging tech, and scaling from scratch.
- Fluency in Mandarin is required, as role will require communication with clients and service providers in China
